STEVEN G CHEEK

Steven G Cheek is a full time studio potter living in Louisville, KY.

He received his MFA from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a BFA from the University of Evansville. He has taught at Georgia State University, University of Tennessee Chattanooga and the University of Louisville. Steven was Director/Artist in Residence at the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts from 2010-2020 and a former artist in residence at the Odyssey Center for the Ceramic Arts.
His current work involves low relief carving using the canvas of the traditional utilitarian vessel. His work has been included in exhibitions throughout the US and is included in many private and public collections.
